CorgiDojo (corgidojo.com) is a small, independent site about caring for Pembroke Welsh Corgis, featuring our corgi George. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, and what we do with it. The short version: we don't ask you for personal information, we don't sell data, and the only tracking on this site is Google Analytics.
Information we collect
You can read everything on CorgiDojo without an account, and we don't have sign-up or contact forms. We collect personal information only if you choose to email us. In that case we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site: which pages are read, how visitors find us, and which links get clicked. It uses cookies and collects information such as:
- Pages you view and how long you stay
- Links you click, including links to other websites
- The site that referred you
- Your general location (country or city), device type, browser, and screen size
Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We see this information only as aggregate reports; it doesn't tell us who you are. Google processes this data under its own policies. Affiliate links
Some links on CorgiDojo are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer (for example, Amazon or Chewy) may set its own cookies to credit the sale to us. That happens on the retailer's site, under the retailer's privacy policy. We receive only aggregate sales reports and never learn your identity or your purchase details. Server logs
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically keeps standard server logs. These include IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. They are used to keep the site secure and running, and are not used to identify visitors.
How we share information
We don't sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. Information is shared only with the service providers described above (Google Analytics and our web host), or if required by law.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on linked above. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information about you. Children's privacy
CorgiDojo is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information (for example, by adding a newsletter), we'll update this page and the effective date above.
